About:
Zinc phosphate forms a grainy phosphate steel coating, and can also be called "Parkerizing."
Properties:
- Acts as a sacrificial coating for steal; it will erode before the underlying metal
- Has corrosion resistant properties and can be used as a base for paint

DOW 1&7
DOW 7: About
- DOW 7 is a chromate conversion process used on magnesium. Similar in use to chemical film on aluminum, DOW 7 forms a protective layer to prevent corrosion and serves as a great base for paint.
